Very happy I got away from this. Unhappy a jack hit the turn. :) crazy hand.

PRIMA 1/2

I'm dealt [Jh][Js] on the button. Folded to me...I raise to $8.

SB calls ($103) and BB ($34) min reraises to $14. The BB has a short stack...isn't a horrible player...but I'm pretty confident with my Jacks and decide to reraise to get mr. SB out. I reraise to $38.

SB all of a sudden moves all-in $103! BB moves the rest of his short stack in.

I type in the chat "WTF!!" It was around $60 for me to call but I decide to let it go..someone has to have me beat right?

Turns out the SB had QQ and the BB had KK. The kings held up. Crazy stuff... JJ, QQ, and KK all in a row.

I wouldve pushed all in to get the SB out or folded.

yeah but if you pushed in you would have lost all your money to the queens.. (discounting the jack of course.)

i did push the BB all-in with my raise...didn't feel the need to commit my whole stack though.

Well, it turns out that I wouldve been wrong to push in, but I wouldnt think the SB would have QQ there.

I dont want to him to call and have to play a huge pot with JJ unless Im all in against the short stack with no further decisions to make.

Your reraise isnt bad either though.

How much do you discount the min reraise preflop just because he is short stacked?

Brian,

I for one don't discount it at all. A minraise is still strong. If he's weak, he'll push instead.
