Opponent has slightly less than a buy in, I have him covered. Table is loose/passive, as is my opponent, at least loose.

Stoneburg : Raises for 1.20 [Ad] [Kd]
falmark : Folds

Bofinken : Folds
MangeS : Folds
tertsi : Calls for 1.00

Flop $2.90 [Td] [Tc] [Jd]

tertsi : Checks
Stoneburg : Checks

Turn $2.90 [6s]
------------------
tertsi : Checks
Stoneburg : Bets 2.00

Should I have bet the flop? I figured that I have a decent draw and don't want to get check-raised out of it. When he checks the turn I figure I just got the green light to steal. However, had he bet the turn I would have had a tough decision because of the flop check... (well, not that tough, I fold, but still).

Well, I bet the flop. I don't see any T (or JJ) check-raising you heads-up, he wants to get more of your money and so will check-call. If he has nothing he will fold.

On the turn I figure I'm ahead and so your bet is good then too. The number of $20 Prima players who can check twice with trips or better heads up is awful small.
