AQ on a AKQ board

Postby GooperMC » Fri Aug 05, 2005 10:52 pm

0.25 / 0.50 No Limit - Cash Game (7 handed)

CO has $28.85, I am in BB and I have him covered.

Hero is in BB with [Ac], [Qh]
folded to CO who calls, SB completes, I raise to 3.00, CO calls, SB folds.

Flop: [Qs], [3h], [Ks]
I bet 4.00, CO calls.

I usually lead around 3/4 pot for a continuation bet and this board
doesn't look bad for a continuation bet. I am done if I get raised or
flat called.

Turn: [Ah]
I bet 8.00, CO calls.

I am a little worried about AK but I may have just sucked out on KQ or
another king. J10 is possible but that would mean he would have to
cold call 6x BB HU with J10 then call a 3/4 pot bet.

At this point I think that I have the best hand and am trying to get him to pot commit himself. Mistake?

River: [8d]
I bet $14.00, CO calls all in for $13.85

Up to this point I have only 20ish hands played against CO and he hasn't gotten to far out of line. My only mini read was that he did like to fold once he limped into a pot (but I had only seen this happen twice so not a real strong read. His stats were:
VP$IP: 35
WtSD: 30
W$SD 50

What do you guys think?

I don't think I get away from two pair just because of the stack sizes. Every bet you made was appropriate for the value of your hand and the pot. Being out of position made checking impossible as you are likely to call a bet.
