I don't have a clue what MP2 has. I've seen people make that raise OOP (not to get a free card) just so they can check a made flush to you. This probably has to do with some of my LAG play and they know I like to bet scare cards. I can't see him calling with a set but who knows.

The one thing I do know, though, is that with your hand you need to check behind on the turn. You are not strong on the turn and have no reason to bet it. If he's ahead you have outs, if you're ahead (unlikely) then what can come that will scare you? He can't hit a heart, a 5, or if he's behind he can't hit an ace either. There's no reason not to see a cheap river and act from there.

That's a play to make if YOU want to be the LAG.

The LAG's that I have enough stats on (i.e. they're good enough that they haven't busted out yet) will not call that turn push unless they have you beaten.

Maybe an anti-LAG way to play this... bet full pot on the flop. If he raises you, put him in. At least with that move, you're more likely to be the (marginal) favorite when the money goes in.

I agree with Tokenizer. Yo HAVE to check that turn. that protects you from a C/R from a set. When the [4h] comes you now have the nut flush draw and a inside straight draw draw. You are most likely gonna need one of these outs to hit to win this pot. Why pay for it. However I would still call a reasoable bet on the river...hehe!!

Basically, I am saying I would play it the same if I had an overpair and was called with a pot size on the flop. SLOW DOWN!!

yep toke knows his stuff. very strange for you to bet this turn, it looks like you think you are ahead and want to scare out the draws.

i would check the turn and call or bet half-pot on the river.
