86o against blindsteal(?)

Postby Stoneburg » Sat Oct 01, 2005 5:55 pm

I'm posting a lot of hands from todays session because I haven't played in a while due to being occupied with Battlefield 2 and Morrowind... computergames are massively -EV for sure. I felt a bit (read: very) rusty and felt I made a bunch of mistakes so I could sure use some analysis and help.

In this hand there has been a bit of a history. He has miniraised my BB a few times and I have check/raised him and taken it down.

- Stoneburg sitting in seat 1 with $49.70
- rytoast sitting in seat 2 with $71.90
- andy87 sitting in seat 3 with $11.00
- Zaphod-_-b sitting in seat 4 with $77.51
- Rolandomagic sitting in seat 5 with $65.30
- xasunt sitting in seat 6 with $23.29
- Chippe77 sitting in seat 8 with $34.78 [Dealer]
- Eupglenn sitting in seat 9 with $49.10
- dringo sitting in seat 10 with $87.75 [Sitting out]

rytoast folded
andy87 folded
Zaphod-_-b folded
Rolandomagic folded
xasunt folded
Chippe77 raised - $1.00
Eupglenn folded
Stoneburg called - $1.00 [8s] [6h]

** Dealing the flop: [6s] [Ks] [3d]
Stoneburg checked
Chippe77 bet - $1.00
Stoneburg called - $1.00

** Dealing the turn: [8c]
Stoneburg checked
Chippe77 bet - $2.50
Stoneburg raised - $7.50
Chippe77 called - $7.50

** Dealing the river: [5h]
Stoneburg bet - $9.00

This is a bit funky. When he calls the turn I put hijm on a K with a weak kicker or the flush draw.

If you think he's stealing wouldn't you want to throw a raise back at him?

I don't like your call on the flop. I'd fold or raise, probably fold.

The turn check/raise looks good to me. I might be a little worried about K 8 though.

River bet look good.

I think i go for a check call on the river. He may be a flush draw or just a king. I think the safest and possibly most profitable move is check call the river.
