Not money, hands. Xaston and I were tossing some ideas around. We were discussing 50NL, which I currently play, my play, br, etc. He proceeded to tell me about how he skipped 50NL and went straight to 100NL from the 25 tables. My proposal is that I quad table for 5 hours a day mon-fri.

100 hours a week. Looking at about we'll say 50 hands an hour. For 4 weeks.

I'm expecting around 8 bb/100. Hopefully after 20k hands I will get real good stats on my PT and eventually get the roll for 100NL.

Comments, questions, things I haven't accounted for?

Why skip $50 NL? What is the thought behind that?

I have the roll for $100 but I only broke even at the $50 games at Prima. Not sure what to try next: $50 Party or $50 somewhere else or $100 somewhere or what.

Same here. I have the roll for it but Ice told me not to do it. I think Rdale also told me it wast a very good idea. I will follow their advice. I will play anything near 10K hands and if I am getting the desirable 10PTBB/100hands I am up to NL$100. They all say that there is no skill difference between NL25 and NL50 but there is a psychological issue about moving up and getting used to the bigger bets. I play NL50 for a couple days and felt great because I was in a very nice rush of good cards and didnt feel bad at all moving all in with my rockets 8-) . Anyway, that is what they say. They also say that the skill level start to be noticeable at NL100. I will follow their advice and play NL$50, although I wanted to skip it too.

setting yourself up for 5 hours a day on monday-friday really isn't a good idea IMO. There's going to be days you won't have your "A" game. You're not always gonna win either...it's not as easy as it sounds.

Lets not forget that Saturday is by far the most profitable day. You have to play some on Sat or your missing out big time.

For some unknown reason, Wed, Thur and Sunday are my worst days. All the others are MUCH better with Sat being the best.
