What the min rate you would recommend before moving up, over 10000 hands

Thanks,

Minimum? Hmmm

I would say about 12 (or if youre using pokertracker it would actually show 6)

But there are alot of other factors to consider also.

PT displays BB/100 to be "big bets per 100 hands", where it defines big bet to equal 2 x big blind. So, if you want to talk "big blinds per 100 hands" then you need to double the PT number. Note that GT+ uses big blinds, not "big bets".

PT uses "big bets" becasue it was designed for limit not NL.

in a limit game...a 2/4 game has $1 and $2 blinds but you want to track your win rate in increments of $4.

This is what throws of the NL numbers. I have no idea why they dont just have a patch to correct the NL problem, but unitl they do, ytour win rate id double whatever PT says it is for NL

You can easily calculate it yourself and youll see.

Just take your total $$ won and divide it by the big blind and then divide by your number of hands and divided by 100.
Your result will be double what PT shows.

From personal experience, I would suggest that you can maintain at least 8 PTBB/100 (16 BB/100) before moving up levels. Previously I was averaging around 6-7 PTBB/100 and tried moving up and I wasnt nearly ready. I am personally waiting to avg 10 PTBB/100 before moving up and I am fairly close to that now. Remember, it will more than likely take a short adjustment period once you move up so expect your win rate to drop on that initial move.
