I nearly folded this on the flop, there was too much out there to figure I was ahead. I decided to call one bet, and see what comes on the turn - then I got the perfect card - just glad the didn't fall.

Raise preflop when it folds to you in MP and you are coming in. Raise the flop as well. If you get reraised by the SB, then it depends on your read -- if he's solid, only call if there are 10 bets in the pot, since you have 4 outs to the FH. If he's bad, consider calling down to the river (unless a diamond or queen falls).

I might have raised preflop but i'm 50/50 on that so I don't have a problem with it. However, on the flop, I raise because I'm likely to have the best hand and be against some draws which I want to charge. From the turn on, its a no brainer. Its amazing that you were up against the flopped straight and the flopped flush. Good job. For as many suck outs that good players take, its nice to do it back every once in a while.

You would drop that hand to a solid utg limper preflop? That seems a little too weak/tight in my opinion. I missed the caller too so I would have just limped and agree that I raise the flop, probably call for the turn if 3 bet and fold if I don't improve on the turn if I respect the raiser. Only hands you would be beating without hitting that boat would be AK (Ad) or AdAx. AA would have raised preflop and same for AK is likely so I would fold. You happened to improve and I would push that hand hard like you did.

I fold only if UTG is solid, and doesn't limp with hands like KT and QJ when he's UTG. KJ is pretty easily dominated, but since it's suited I don't mind playing it in a multiway pot. If there are no other limpers, then I drop it. If he's a loose caller and there's no one else in, then I'm raising it.

Since this guy is limping with A2s, he's the type of player I'd raise against in this situation.
