And raise the flop first hand, not very drawy so make them put in bets while they are behind and you get to lead turn and they'll be more likely to call then)

First hand cap that off on the flop and lead the turn. After three bets go in on the flop many times that is going to get checked around if noone is holding diamonds as well and you will miss out on some bets.

Hand 2 i would go ahead and CR the flop given that the first guy to act after you bet. This way you likely get all three of them for 2 bets now. If you just check and they are on over cards and miss the turn or another card comes out that makes a 4 straight or whatever they have and miss you won't get a chance to get them for any extra bets. When you can trap several players for extra bets on the flop I think it is generally a better idea to do so than waiting until the turn to try and get them because alot of them won't be there to get.
