Okay... I know I'd probably get more responses to this in the NL section, but there's like 50000 people posting there now that I don't know, and most of them aren't playing B&M anyways, which as you guys know, is VERY different than online (ie... $25 PF raises at a 1/2NL game, no regard for pot odds...)...

So, I sit down at this new underground game I got invited to (isn't it nice to feel wanted , even if it's cause they think I'm a fish )... About 5 minutes in, I get pocket Ks and limp UTG, cause EVERYONE is raising everything... So, ofcourse, 9 people limp in and see a flop of AA5... Well, that blows... So I folded... I've played with a couple of these idiots, and they're SUPER LAGs, they have no idea how to play, are rich, and really honestly don't care if they win money or not... They're just there for fun...

This is actually the hand I'm questioning my play...

About 20 minutes after the Ks, I get 2 red Aces UTG... Screw that limping crap... I raise to $20... Everyone there has a LOT of respect for me (not cause I'm especially good, but cause I'm pretty tight, and one of the better players there... I've seen a couple people fold AQ and Js PF to me already), and they all fold except for one guy who I've never seen before... He doesn't seem especially good, as none of them do... But, I didn't know until later exactly how much he really didn't care about money (I don't think I DIDN'T see him call a raise the whole night after this hand), and how loose he really was...

Anyways, he calls the $20... I've got about $150 in front of me (buyin is $100, which BLOWS, but what're ya gonna do), he's got a little less...

Flop ... I come out firing for $50... he minraises for $100... What do you guys do...?

Before you guys answer, remember that I'm already in for $70, which is almost half my stack, and his raise basically put him allin...

I'd like a few thoughts, and will post a few of mine below... But, I'd like the responses before you read the results if you guys don't mind...

With the low buyins, I don't think I had a lot of room to maneuver here... If I had a $200+ stack, I might have been able to get away with a little more... As it was, I had half my stack involved, and don't like betting less on the flop in case he was drawing...

Anyway, I pushed, half-knowing I was beat, and he flipped over the powerhouse Q3o for trips (Sorry Ice...)...

I don't mean this story to be a badbeat story... It's really a question of whether you would've folded to the raise against a nut who could basically have anything, and would probably think he was ahead calling PF w/ A3 or AQ...?

If he had J3 then he had more than trips. No way Im folding in that spot to anyone. let alone a clown like that.

The pot was $190 or so. The bet was $50 to you and you only have a total of $80 left.

You said he had less then you so lets say he started with $125. Your risking $75 more to win the $190 thats there already plus another $25. Thats almost 3:1

You cant ever consider folding.

Yeah i was gonna say theres really no way you can fold that..especially against these crazies...

Yeah you may think your beat but there is no way I'm folding, he also could be playing something like AJ or KJ, or a decent PP. No way you can fold with the pot odds being 3:1 on your call vs a clown.

I realize this is an old post but I just read it and it reminded me of a hand from a couple months ago in Lake Charles, LA.

I'm in the 5-5 $300 max game and I basically fold almost everything for an hour and a half until I get QQ UTG+1. I raise to $25, 1 guy calls behind and the guy in the small blind sits for a second and needles me a bit and says "I'm going to win with this hand" and calls. Of course since I had been playing super tight the whole table is joking about me raising and how I must have huge cards. Flop is 447. SB checks and I bet $60, LP folds, and SB check-raises me to $120. I go into the tank and think for a couple minutes and he says "I don't want to take your money" and I say "Ok" and fold. He shows me 34o. I wanted to throw up.
