This looks good... I am very glad that the system works... the system by which you're on the winning side... your system!

BR as of the end of Jan5 = $1,759.53 I haven't been keeping track of my hours or how many hands I've played. I haven't used PTracker or the HUD in months, and I'm really just sitting down here and there every day for 1/2 hour at time. (Multiple times) Now that I'm just about ready to start moving for some serious money, I may start paying more attention.

I won a satellite into the Prima 175K tomorrow. I don't have much confidence that it'll go anywhere ... lol donkaments and that sort of thing ... but hey for the $6.60 it cost me to get the ticket ... why not?

Other things:

Psychology - There was a crazy 80% off sale at a local used bookstore ... I cleaned them out of as many psychology books as $50.00 would get me ... and that was quite a lot. ;p I'm working right now through probably the best book I've ever read ... it's called "Ego and Archetype" by Edward Edinger. It is a stunningly profound (and quite deep) book. It explains things I've understood for a long time in ways that I couldn't, and revealed to me deep deep things that I hadn't even considered yet. Truly amazing on many different levels. 5 stars, 2 thumbs way up, all that jazz. Anyway ... this post isn't a rave about the book. Here's some further info on it: http://www.amazon.com/Ego-Archetype-Edw ... 239&sr=1-1

Part Time Job - Meh, it's serving it's purpose.

Education - I've gotten in touch with the university and have an appointment to sit down with a counsellor. I've already sent away for some high school correspondence courses in order to brush up on the entrance prerequisites. My goal is set to move on the real schooling in 1 year ... I'm hoping to be able to do it full time, but that's really going to depend on finances ... I still have to work it all out. If my strategy works out the way I expect it to, that shouldn't be a problem. We'll see what happens I guess. There's always other ways to fund an education if I need to.

Health - I'm finally back at the gym on a regular basis. I cut my expectations down to 3 times a week ... but at least I'm actually going 3 times a week. I also sat down and did a revamp of my eating habits. I'm back on track. I've lost 30 pounds of muscle in the last couple of years and I want it back. Drinking is well under control and I can't see that I'll ever really go back to it the way I was. I think I've got a better handle on the underlying reasons as to what was causing the problem. I haven't mentioned that in a long time, and I think this'll be the last time I bother. It's not that important a part of my life anymore. Cigarettes still have me firmly in their grip though, so there's another mountain to conquer. Weed's pretty much out of the picture these days ... I just can't be bothered, I've got a lot of better things to do.

Music - On hold for a bit ... cancelling vocal lessons for awhile ... it's been once a week for a full year so I think it's time for a break. Also ... I'm saving my pennies for a Digitech GNX4 guitar workstation ... with that and a nice vocal processor it's "go nuts" time. ;p I'd like to be doing some local shows as a 1-man within the next couple of years. i find playing live really fulfilling and I'd like to do more of it.

That's my life in a few paragraphs. Living it all in real-time seems to take quite a bit longer. Sigh ... livin' in the Matrix. (saying that symbolically of course. )

Dood your artwork is brilliant! Wow! ... it's very ... satisfying on a gut level.

To respond on the Jungian stuff ... yes I think you have it actually right. The muse that you interact with would in fact be your "self", or minimally an archetypal symbol as a messenger of your true Self. (or something like that.) The collective unconscious seems to be more a way of saying that we are all born inherently the same with most of our true selves lying under the line of consciousness. (sub-consciously) Through the process of individuation (the process itself being different for every individual), a man would seek ("seek and ye shall find") to become consciously aware of his true self. In other words, wake up! ("Knock Knock Neo.") This individuation process can be known as self-actualizing as well.

It does bring together many different philosophies, religions and other "projections" ... as all representations or symbols of the innate truth which lies within.

So yes in fact, rather than seeing it as the collective whole of humanity being channeled through you via the muse, it is rather your own true self you are in touch with. (Represented by perhaps an archetype or persona.) As it is now, the person you are now is like the "digital projection of your virtual self" Yes it does seem that Western culture in general has it all ass-backwards ... but then "narrow is the path.", regardless of cultural upbringing. Through the vehicles of religion, (when properly applied!) a man may find his salvation, although yet still be unaware of the truth behind it. No matter ... increasing awareness is a process and not an end result ... a man may be "saved", and not know it. Conversely ... a man completely out of touch with himself, yet fervently idolizing (even his own religion) is a fanatic ... a danger to himself and others. Think of the actions of the extreme fundamentalists, whether Christian, Muslim, or whatever. Compare that with the true joy and spirit found on the face of the Dalai Lama, or of the joyful Christian grandma making cookies visual. BIG difference.

Anyway ... more to the point ... you're artwork rocks. :D

Today would have been a good day to stay in bed. I did losted some moniez! #-o At least I excercised. =D>

I spent some money today as a small reward to myself for doing well. I hit the nutrition house and grabbed seventy bucks worth of a) Amino Acid pills b) Flax Seed Oil c) L-Glutamine (another amino acid) d) Tea Tree Oil / Aloe based aftershave, and d) Mouthwash (Bioactive) and Hair Gel ( ... I was on a roll so why not ... it had lots of herbs and shit in it.) Very nice. I also found a nice Slash action figure for $19.99 (who is now sitting on my desk). End reward to self.

I got in about 2.5 hours of play after work today. I'm shutting it down now at 10PM and hitting the sack for the night. I'm starting to feel the tiredness kick in, and I don't want a repeat of the other night. I have to say, each day I'm becoming increasingly confident in my new style. To be fair, a lot of this is coming from RB and bonus, and also the $50 5-man S&G's ... so it's not like I've developed some MASSIVELY kick ass Omaha style/system. Just a minorly to medium kick-ass Omaha style/system. I should probably get my PT working and see what my actual winrate is. Personally I don't care where the money is coming from ... as long as it keeps coming in like this.

At 4K I'm moving up to 2/4. I realistically expect to hit somewhere between 6-8K by the end of January. I optimistically hope to hit 10K. I pessimistically wonder why I bother playing since it's just a matter of time before I get hit by a car.

Day's Earn - $317.32
BR, Jan9 - $2,939.96

Image for the day: (Relax your eyes and focus near the centre, roughly at the base of the tree ... without moving your head look sort of up and down a little until you get the effect.)
