first, this is a marginal hand preflop with a raise here. after that, i don't mind since its against the preflop raiser and its unlikely he has the made straight. However, when looking at the hands, you didn't got in with essentially the same hand as either a 5 or a 6 make him a higher straight. he's almost completely freerolling you.

i might have a bit hasty with it being marginal preflop but def not a great hand by any means.

I'm fine with you stacking off vs a preflop raiser here as 56 isn't very likely. However, vs someone other than the preflop raiser, you have to be careful for being free rolled and if the action or stack sizes were different, you have to remember to that you could be getting freerolled or at least up against a set and calling the flop to wait for a safe turn is a good idea. not in this hand with how the action and stack sizes were.

Yeah I'm still trying to get a better feel for what is and isn't too marginal in a shorthanded game. As it is I feel like I'm a nit, since my VPIP bounces around between 25-27%..... Which is basically an average VPIP for a shorthanded Limit Hold Em game... I though PLO gave a little more flexibility in staring hands . For some reason I just can't seem to find all these hands people seem to talk about
