I just came back from Vegas, the Bellagio was a very soft game, when I was there the Wynn wasn't open yet, and I didnt play at the palms. Did you mean to say a $1000 bankroll??? With a 10k roll, you can play almost any lower limit Nl game you want. The rule of thumb is 10-20 buyins for the game you want to play, to be playing within your bankroll. So with 10k you could play $500 - $1000 buy in games.

Hey Hopy, when it's being spread (which isn't all the time, unfortunately), the 1/2 game at Monte Carlo is very beatable. Seemed like most of the players were used to playing the 2/4 limit games and wanted to try NL 'for the heck of it'. One or 2 regulars that you have to be careful of, but otherwise it's a pretty soft game.

Good luck, dude!

was in LV at the MGM, brand new poker table, 1/2 NL is only 100$ max buy in and very easy, 2/5 is 500$ max buy in and much easier than the 1/2.
I cried because I had no draw, until I met a man with no pair>>>MVSPORTS

Hopy, while I have no clue about Vegas, I have observed both 2/5 and 5/10 here in Oklahoma. I think the 5/10 is often actually softer--a lot of high rollers who don't care about throwing money around. More of the people at 2/5 are at least aware of limited bankrolls and are in it to make money (although plenty of fish to catch there, too).

In Vegas, I'd probably also be on the lookout for possible pros, who I'm sure are also around and might find 5/10 worth their while... (again, just guessing)
