Even if Paradise and Party were to "reopen", would they be the same, or merely a shell of their former selves? Would players go back, or would they stay at whatever new sites they had settled at? Interesting question....

Party is publicly traded and I'd be amazed if they went private.

I have a love/hate relationship with Partypoker. Every once in a while they do something retarded (like introduce the Mon$ster or ban US players) and I denounce them and angrily switch sites to UB or FT or Ongame or whatever.

It always ends the same way. I crawl back. They got the only software I'm really comfortable with, my winrate and hands/day are nowhere near the same level on any other site.
