Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

Played another session.

this 3 hour session put me down 10 dollars. Not to bad. it was a bit of a roller coaster. in the first part of the session i ran into a few beats that put me down a buy in. i got up about 1.5 buyins then slowly lost the stack. i have made changes to my betting habits. I bet at least 1/2 to 2/3 the pot instead of the shitty 1/4 bets and 1/3 bets i was making the last session. i had KK and AA a few times and walked on the BB...

even though i lost 10 dollars this session im playing alot better and i will be improving my bankroll next session.

ill post a few hands in a little bit, gotta run to class

I got my 8 page paper done thats due tommorrow and now i got to finish the three pager.

Here is a hand that i struggle with. folding an overpair. When do i know that i have to fold this. in this perticualr hand im not even scared of the K, cus i really dont think he has a K. What should have i done in this hand differently up to this point and would u call or fold?

SB ($11.40)
BB ($21.55)
UTG ($9.85)
Hero ($49.85)
CO ($30.50)
Button ($22.05)

Preflop: Hero is MP with [Th], [Ts].
UTG calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.25, 1 fold, Button calls $1.25, 2 folds, UTG calls $1.

Flop: ($4.10) [5c], [8d], [2d] (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $2.25, Button raises to $5.5, UTG folds, Hero calls $3.25.

Turn: ($15.10) [Ks] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $15.3 (All-In),

Your line?

I dont think this is a 100% fold but just calling is really bad. This is a push/fold situation, there is only one really good card for you the [Tc], other than what are you looking for on the turn? Without a read on this villain it makes it much harder. The problem here is that it seems like he might be drawing on the flop but it is also now possible that he is drawing to a king high flush? Problem here is by calling the flop raise you are now getting 2:1 with what could be the best hand. You avoid putting yourself in the tough spot by pushing the flop or folding.
