Battlefield Email--Good and Bad

Postby T-Rod » Sun Oct 22, 2006 8:50 pm

So I sent an email to Battlefield (Prima) asking them what their plans were. So far, I can login and play normally, but other Prima sites have shutdown (e.g., Code Poker).

Short-version= They say as long as you don't live in US states that have banned, you are okay.

Long version= see below

Dear Prima Poker Stud,

Thank you for contacting Battle Field Poker.

The United States of America has passed a bill called the ‘Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act’. Due to this act Casino Action has taken the steps to refuse any play from people residing within the following States:
1. Illinois
2. Indiana
3. Louisiana
4. Michigan
5. Nevada
6. New Jersey
7. New York
8. Oregon
9. South Dakota
10. Washington
11. Wisconsin

Players who reside outside of these States are not affected.

The Battlefield Poker team is extremely disappointed with the consequences of this legislation but rest assured that we will continue to monitor the legislative situation and if there are any changes, we will be sure to advise you.

Please do not hesitate in contacting us if you have any further questions or comments. The tracking number for this issue is LTK6309959040X.

Kind Regards

Matt
