At Doyles, if I go to options>hand history, there is a box that says "archive hand histories". If this box is not checked, do my HHs not get put on my hard drive?

Im trying to retreive all the hands I played from my laptop while on vacation but they dont appear to be there. That box isnt checked on my laptop but it is on my desktop computer.
