FWIW, I just played the bonus at 200NL Stars (6max). I really did NOT like it at all, and was down for the bonus period. The players were savvy but also incapable of folding.

I ran into lots of guys playing 30/20 (where 11% is about average VPIP). They called all kinds of preflop reraises and also CBs.

Let me give you an example. A guy with decent not crazy stats calls my x4bb preflop raise OOP. I have AK. He calls with 99. Standard.

Flop QT3. I make a 3/4 pot CB (my standard) and now he min raises me with 99? Huh. I call.

Turn is a brick. He leads like 6 into a 30 pot. I just call.

River is a J and he leads into me.

That's pretty incredible play for 99. Sure I beat him that time, but I cannot tell you how many times I have to fold unimproved and they are never folding to reraises.

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
