Play with NO rake at World Poker Exchange

Postby Spank_her_Pair » Mon Apr 03, 2006 5:31 pm

WPX has just made their poker room Rake Free. They now charge NO rake. They claim that they can do this because of their main income is from Sportsbetting and free poker will help them make more through their sportsbetting

They dont have that many tables going however. They have $10 and $25 NL all the time but the higher level NL ones are spread less often. Their Limit Games are healthy with players and I would think NO Rake should increase players in NL as well.

I have not played there in about 9 months. But when i did play back then the players were not very good and i never had a problem with withdrawing funds or anything.

It was actually one of my favorite sites... I would play 1 table there and then 2-3 at Prima at $50NL. But then i stopped playing for a few months and when I came back they had almost no players anymore so i never played there since. But I got the email about No Rake today, so ima try it out again now.

I absolutely love this place. I play 2/4 3/6 amd 5/10 HE FR and SH and this place is not a rock garden. During the day there are;

3 2/4 FR tables going
4 3/6 SH tables
4-5 5/10 FR tables going.

If you play at these limits you need to start playing here. Even if its just one table here and the rest at some other site. The software is great IMO and there are plenty of bad players. I'm finding a good mix of LP and weak-tight players there. It is small and most won't be able to make it their primary site yet but If the site continues to grow it will be just great. It is now PT compatible as well. I use a black background w/ no table and Waffles card mod. The graphix are very easy to mod.

Have you had a look to see how many NL games there are?

I played some $2/$4 NL there this morning. There was 1 table with 5-6 players most of the time (full ring table).

I played 40 hands on 1 table so it was about 25 mins or so and my rake was $10. Pretty sweet.

You have to like playing shorthanded because thats all there is for now. No table selection at all.

The players were aggressvie but not good. I didnt get any hands at all and dropped about $50.
