Evacuation in Texas

Postby Johnny Hughes » Fri Sep 23, 2005 10:26 am

There was no real evacution plan. The Governor sez, "Go North. Yall." Over two million people hit the roads. There were no pre preparations for grid lock, cars out of gas, cars over heating. Gas trucks are trying to get through now. Friday. 1100 a.m. Gas trucks should have been pre posisitoned. For many hours they did not have the roads going North in all lanes. No one realized an evacuation that large would use up the primary fuel for cars....gasoline.

It still it a big problem. Where are these people going to go? A Holiday Inn? It is football weekend in Texas and there are no rooms at the Inns.
